When we went to the Bullis family house and we asked, "Why is the Bullis family important?"
Mr.Henley said, "The Bullis family is important because they are one of the only standing cobblestone houses."
Eleanor and Charles built the house. He said, "They are the pioneers of Palmyra and Macedon, NY."
The Bullis House was made in 1839. They came from Vermont and used the Erie canal which is one of the biggest accomplishments.
We think the Bullis family is important because....
Nettie Bullis left the Bullis House and the land to the Town of Macedon.
Books from the family are kept in the Macedon Public Library. Nettie helped pay for this library to be built.
Nettie Bullis also left a lot of money to the school. This is called the Bullis Scholarship.
