What is a School Community Council?
An SCC is a school-based council composed of a principal, teachers, non-certificated staff, students, parents and community members that each represent the entire school community. We advocate forums for open discussion and problem-solving related to student achievement and school improvement.

Our School Community Council (SCC) helps craft and approve the Academic and Comprehensive Financial Plans which establish the goals and programs for our school, and the available resources. Academic and Comprehensive Financial Plans:
Schools publish an Academic and Financial Plan each year to set the goals and priorities for student learning, programs and initiatives, aligned to statements of funding.
Our plan was approved by our School Community Council and by the Kaʻū-Keaʻau-Pāhoa Complex Area Superintendent on April 13, 2021.

SCHOOL BELL SCHEDULE:
Hawaii's public schools are required by law to implement bell schedules that categorize learning and non-learning minutes of the school day (Act 167/Act 21), meeting a minimum of 1,080 student hours each year.
