WELCOME
Our goal in this section of our class’ website is to analyze the ways in which different cultures that reside in America parent their children. We will be looking at parents from Hawai’i and the Continental U.S. and comparing the results we collect. We will be able to find similarities and differences and look at results of different kinds of parenting styles. With this information, we leave it up to you, the parents, to decide which route would be best to take for your child to become a positive addition to society.
Disclaimer: We are not parents, however, we have gained insight and knowledge through our course that would not hurt to share with parents. We are learning about research outcomes and theories built from research.
From our goal statement, parents will know what our portion of the site will inform them about. From our survey, parents will be able to see similarities and differences between two different places in the U.S.. From the podcasts, we hope to inform parents about ways to parent their children as well as outcomes of these styles! We want to ensure that the parents who visit our portion of the website will be informed, not advised.
