About Us

Who We Are:

The Finders Keepers Free Store was started by Pacific University students working for the Center for a Sustainable Society (CSS) in March 2023. They were startled by the amount of waste produced while attending university and the number of their peers who did not have the means to acquire essential resources. As a result, they started collecting old, used, or unwanted items on campus and giving them away to students for free through seasonal pop-up events. Today, the Finders Keepers Free Store has found a home in the Drake House located next to CPS. Here student volunteers and CSS workers collect dozens of items donated to us daily and display them for customers to take at no cost. Clothing, school supplies, décor, books, and electronics are just a few of the many finds you may stumble upon while browsing in our store. Want to Donate? Click Here!

What We Do:

Our commitment to reducing waste on campus and in the community and providing individuals with the resources to thrive remains strong. We continue to host pop-up events for Pacific University students and collect a continuous stream of donations which we give away for free in our store. We have also started to work with other campus groups and community organizations to co-organize events, share resources, and ensure a more sustainable and brighter tomorrow for everyone.
