Calexico Neighborhood House Shelter is an emergency shelter for homeless women and children. 

211 Imperial provides health, social, community, and disaster information and referrals to individuals and families throughout Imperial County. Through a free, 24/7, and confidential phone service with highly trained staff and a searchable online database, 211 Imperial will develop an understanding of your unique circumstance and connect you to the most appropriate resources and services. 

Through state and federal funding sources, Imperial County is able to provide a variety of services through different programs. 

Public Housing units are owned and managed by IVHA. IVHA owns units located throughout Imperial County. Public Housing units vary in size and style, however they offer low rents based on the household income.  

Public housing was established to provide decent and safe rental housing for eligible low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. Public housing comes in all sizes and types, from scattered single family houses to highrise apartments for elderly families. 

SEMC has partnered with the  Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) to provide residents struggling with food, rent and utilities in El Centro. This collaboration allows SEMC to help families who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness, pay past due rent or utilities, and  emergency food.
