Meet the Counselor

The high school mission of Pacific Horizons is to equip students to achieve personal, academic, and professional goals.

OUR GOAL is to develop self-esteem, respect for others, and a love of learning in PHS students.

I believe counseling to be an essential, integral piece of the educational process. In my role as the designated school counselor I serve as an advocate, providing a comprehensive guidance program that addresses the academic, career, and personal/social development of all students.

​I believe:

• Students should be treated with dignity and respect, free from oppressive assumptions based on their perceived identities. 

• Diversity and uniqueness should be celebrated and drawn upon when engaging with students.

• All students should have access to the school’s Comprehensive Guidance Counseling Program to meet their academic, career, and personal social needs.

My ultimate goal will be to support the mission of the PHS, utilizing a comprehensive counseling program. 

I will:

• Promote growth, self-awareness, appreciation of diversity, and a love of learning among students.

• Assist in creating a safe and responsive school environment.

• Assure every student will receive maximum benefits of the program.

• Work collaboratively with students, teachers, parents, and the community.​​
