Course Duration: 7-8 Hours (In-Class)
Participant Age 11.5-15 Years Old
E-Certificate will be provided upon completion of the course.

Course Description:
Basic First Aid
*External Deadly Bleeds, Breathing Emergencies (Asthma, EpiPen, recovery for choking), Hands-Only CPR
*Participants learn how to provide care to children in a variety of age groups, and how to prevent and respond to emergencies.
*How to promote themselves as babysitters to prospective families safely.
Successful Course Completion:
Certification requires 100% attendance and participation and completion of hands-on skills. Behaviour expected of a participant in this course (interacting respectfully, following rules and direction). Participants should be able to participate in the course independently.
*Manitoba Law REQUIRES a child to be a minimum of 12 years old to home alone or babysit (family members or otherwise). This course does not supersede MB Law.***

Participant Age: 9-13 (completion of grade 3)

Course Description:
Offers basic first aid and safety skills. Cuts and scrapes, Breathing Emergencies, External Deadly bleeds.
Participants learn about being safe when they are without the direct supervision of an adult at home in the community and online.
Participants will take their workbooks home to their families for review of any safety information that should be practiced again at home.

PACE First Aid & Rescue Training was the first Training Partner to be permitted to offer Virtual Delivery of the CRC Babysitter's Program during the COVID-19 epidemic. Since we have returned to in-person training we have seen our numbers of participants increase each year.
