Additive Scaling

As you can see in the above gif, cage mesh assets can be layered, causing the external layer to change shape where relevant. Our hope is to provide the user with the ability to change things like musculature as well as body proportions by adding invisible layers beneath the character skin. As a bonus this means any size changes you make will be represented equally across different character styles.

Skin Replacements

Not all characters are human, and with the new body-swapping technology, non-human bases can be more easily implemented. As they aren't human, body variants like robots, aliens, werewolves, etc will transcend style in most senses, and will be created to be able to work alongside different species. If your character does have a humanoid face, it can simply retain that face - maybe even alter it in inhuman ways using the additive scaling technology.

Hair

To lessen the load on asset creation, we will be pursuing more modular hair. Various strand styles can be layered and colored to provide mainstream or unique looks. As a bonus because they'll use cage mesh technology they'll be able to more easily fit under helmets and masks when needed! Whether or not they'll be able to have custom physics has yet to be seen.
