Mrs. Amon is part of the World Language department/Language Acquisition MYP groups.  Born in Ventura County, she attended Channel Islands High School and is a proud product of OUHSD. She joined Río Mesa High School in 2016. This school year she is celebrating her "Sweet 16" year in education as a teacher. She attended CSUN for her BA and MA in Spanish Literature. Mrs. Amon teaches Spanish MYP Year 4 (Level 1) and IB Spanish B HL Years 1 and 2 from the Diploma Programme. 

Mr. González is part of the Language Acquisition group. He has been teaching at Rio Mesa High School since 2012. He received his degree from CSUCI and his M.A. and teaching credential from APU in 2010. Currently, Mr. G (as the kids call him) teaches Spanish MYP Year 4 (Level 1), Spanish MYP Year 5 (Level 2), and Spanish B DP SL Year 2 (our fourth year in the Spanish Language Acquisition pathway).

Mrs. Houdoud is part of the Language Acquisition group. She teaches French MYP Years 4 and 5 (Levels 1 and 2) and French 3. Mrs. Houdoud also teaches French IB DP SL, the fourth year of French.

Ms. Álvarez is part of the Language Acquisition group. She received her Bachelor's in Spanish and Bachelor's in Latin American Studies from UCSB. She received her teaching credential and Master of Education from CLU. Ms. Álvarez teaches Spanish MYP Years 4 and 5 (Levels 1 and 2).

Ms. Arévalo is part of the Language Acquisition and Language & Literature groups for IB MYP. She teaches Spanish MYP Year 4 (Level 1) and Spanish for Native Speakers Year 4 (2 NS). 

Ms. Navarro is part of the Language Acquisition and Language. She teaches Spanish MYP Year 4 (Level 1) and Spanish MYP Year 5 (Level 2).
