Community Colleges

Some reasons to attend a California Community College:

• The first 2 years are FREE - you just need to submit your FAFSA

• You don’t have to take specific classes or tests to get in. High School GPA is only a factor in class placement.

• They serve students from the local community. Students don’t usually live on campus.

• They offer: 

  • Certificate programs, which you can finish in six months to a year.  

  • Associate degrees, which are designed to be finished in two years.

• After two years, you can transfer to a four-year college to finish your bachelor’s degree.  

• Some offer bachelor’s degrees in specific fields.
