In this class you will learn about the different foods, cultures, and cooking techniques from around the world and the USA. For example, one of the classes favorite countries we learn about is Japan, where we make sushi, ramen, and many other amazing things!
In this class you learn the different types of baked goods, pastries, and candies and methods used to create them. This class takes place during zero period in the morning which can mimic the work hours of a baker! Some items made include ice cream, crème brulee, gummy candies, bread, cakes, and truffles.
This course is a two-period class during the school day that mimics the first year at many professional culinary schools! Students will learn how to make the five mother sauces, fabricate and cook chicken, cook seafood, and cook beef plus much more. Some dishes that you can expect to cook include eggs benedict, honey walnut shrimp, sous vide chicken, chicken wings, and beef stew. Second semester students will participate in internships and earn industry experience!
