• CMEA All-State Audition Jan 30, 2027 at North Haven High School (snow date 2/6)

• CMEA All-State Festival April 8-10, 2027 at The Klein Memorial Auditorium

CMEA (Connecticut Music Educators Association) Southern Region/All-State auditions provide students with the opportunity to receive a professional evaluation of their performance skills within their region in the state. Regardless of placement into festival or not, the audition is a great experience to prepare and perform classical literature and receive feedback from experienced judges. If a student meets the cut-off score they will be invited to rehearse at the Southern Region Festival amongst their fellow musicians across the region, and perform in a culminating concert. *Participation is a requirement of honors students.

Information for 2026-27 school year:

The All-State Festival audition includes Scales, Sight Reading and My Spirit Sang All Day by Finzi, published by Boosey & Hawkes for SATB, singing your voice part against the recording of the other three voice parts. 

(ex: if you are an Alto, you will record singing with the STB audio)  You will sing the same voice part as you did for your Southern Region Audition.
