Camp Oh-Wooo

Camp Oh-Wooo has become a signature experience for our students. This year, students continued to report high levels of satisfaction with their experiences. There are three main intended outcomes for camp participants: 1) reduce stress; 2) make friends; and 3) feel connected to OWU. Survey responses after camp indicate that all three goals were met.  85% of participants indicated they were able to establish friendships at Camp. 79% indicated Camp made them feel better connected to OWU. Finally, 67% of participants indicated Camp helped them feel less nervous about starting college.

Our new students volunteered with the Mid-Ohio Food Bank through this year's Service Camp. NBC4 News did a feature on the importance of volunteers and the lessons they learn while giving their time to help meet the needs of hungry neighbors in Columbus. Our new students and Ohio Wesleyan were highlighted as part of the news story!
