Students, and staff each month will share what the current monthly Learner Profile means to them. We will share how the IB philosophy is vibrant in the classroom, in the halls, during ATL class, and more. Join us as we see and hear the student and teacher perspectives of what it means to be lifelong learners and critical thinkers in our local and global community.
Toy Drive in December
The OWNCS Middle and Elementary Schools conducted their annual toy drives for the non-profit Hispanic Brotherhood of Rockville Centre. The Holiday Toy Drive has been a cherished part of its Holiday Celebrations. The decade-long relationship with OWNCS has been invaluable in providing much-needed gifts to the dozens of children that belong to the organization. Students in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades helped collect new, unwrapped toys as part of the toy drive over several weeks. The outpouring of generosity was inspiring and overwhelming. Thank you to all who participated. The Hispanic Brotherhood of Rockville Centre was very appreciative. You all made this holiday season extra special to the children.
