Beginning Band

Beginning Band is a year-long elective class made up of 6^th and 7^th grade students who are beginning on a wind instrument of their choice. The purpose of the course is to learn the basics of music notation, work collaboratively as an ensemble, and begin playing an instrument of the student’s choice. The class also focuses on instrument history, music history, performance etiquette, self-discipline, and team participation.
