Adolf Hitler (1889 - 1945)

Adolf Hitler was a German politician and leader of the Nazi Party. He rose to power as the chancellor of Germany in 1933 and then as Führer in 1934. During his dictatorship from 1933 to 1945, he was responsible for the deaths of millions of people.

Winston Churchill (1874 - 1965)

He was an inspirational statesman, writer, orator and leader who led Britain to victory in the Second World War. He was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 during the Second World War, and again from 1951 to 1955.

Alan Turing (1912 - 1954)

He was a brilliant British mathematician who took a leading role in breaking Nazi ciphers during WWII.

Anne Frank (1929 - 1945)

She was a Jewish girl whose diary of her family's years in hiding during the German occupation of the Netherlands is a classic of war literature.
