In Y5, children learn two contrasting ruling systems - the "strong" monarchy of the Tudors and the "Theocratic" (deity-led) monarchy of the ancient egyptians. They had many similarities and differences.Â
In year six, children study the Mayans, which many see as a similar society to that of the Egyptians. They then go on to study WW2, and how the world reacted to Nazi Germany's political and ruling system.
