In 10th Grade Green Urban Design, students will learn about resilience, resistance, and sustainability with hands-on design projects to improve our school and community. In 11th Grade Urban Ecology, students will learn mapping and 3D-modeling skills to design real-world projects in the community!

Greetings! We are Steven Reaves and Keenan Foster. Do you have what it takes to be the next Selena Gomez, Jason Genao, or Swizz Beatz? Then, be a part of the Castlemont High School Performing Arts Department. We are always looking for actors, actresses, dancers, instrumentalists, and rappers. If performing is not your interest, we are also looking for sound and light technicians, stage managers, prop managers, production managers, and assistant directors. Even if you're not interested in the performing arts, our classes can assist with building self-confidence, body and mind connection, social skills, and concentration!!

I am Ms. Ester L. Richards-Dixon. I prefer that you call me Ms. Richards. I am an alumna of the Castle. I have worked in OUSD for over 40+ years. Here are some of my accomplishments over those years. Teacher of the year 1998; Knights' Cafe student run business at the Oakland International Airport; Castlemont Catering club; started an Advisory Board for Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation just to name a few.
It will be a pleasure working with you this year.

Hello! I am Lauren Gucik. I was born outside of Cleveland, Ohio but my people come from the Slavic region of the world (Poland, Hungry, and Czechoslovakia) I have lived in the Bay Area for 13 years and Oakland for 5 years. This will be my 4th year at Castlemont and I split my time between the Kitchen and the Garden. I love to grow food, cook food, eat it and share with People!

My name is Ms.Cockerham, you can call me Ms. C if thats easier! I was born and raised in Oakland and graduated from Skyline. My favorite things to do are to travel, write poetry and spend time with my husband and our 5 children. I can't wait to get to know and grow with you all this year!

Intro
This will be my 5th year working as an Education Specialist at Castlemont. My background is in Social Studies and Education Technology. I am very excited to be working in the SUDA pathway for the first time this year. I support students with giving additional academic support. I will be splitting my time with SUDA and 12th grade and I will be co-teaching one session of English with Ms. Rosenthal per term.
