Children can bring a healthy snack for playtime. One item only please, as we need time to play! As you will see we are a nut free school as we have children and teachers in the campus with severe allergies. We would ask if you could please check ingredients on all snacks.
We can drink from our water bottles throughout the day, and will have milk to drink with our lunch. No fizzy drinks or glass bottles please! We would appreciate if you could put your child's name onto their bottles please.
We can choose to have a hot or cold school dinner or a packed lunch brought from home. All Primary 1 - 5 receive a free school lunch, so there is no need to send money to school. Our P7 Buddies will help us during the first few days in the lunch hall.
Our school is a NUT FREE ZONE. Some of our children and staff have severe nut allergies, therefore no NUTS or FOODS containing NUTS can be brought to school.
If your child has any allergies, please email the school office as soon as possible to notify us of these before your child starts school.
If your child requires medication then our trained staff can administer this. Consent must first be obtained by the Head Teacher and an Adminstration of Medicine Form competed providing written consent. All medication must have a dispensing label which clearly shows your child's name and the dosage required. Please contact the school office in order to hand in the medicine and complete the required paperwork. Please note that children cannot hand in their medication, this must be done by an adult.
If your child requires regular medication e.g. insulin for diabetes, a care plan will be completed in consultation with your health care provider.
We are not permitted to apply sun cream to children in school, so if hot temperatures are forecast please ensure you apply sun cream in the morning before school. It may also be appropriate to provide a hat in warm weather.
