Like you, we are doing our best to stay informed and up to date with all of the changes on the federal and state levels. As new information comes in, we will do our best to keep the community updated. We will be gathering at the UU in Oneonta on Jan 10, 2026 for a letter writing community meeting and hope that many of you will be able to join us.

We have banners to carry but please feel free to wear costumes-blow up costumes are great if you have them- bring flags and be as colorful as you want, let’s show our pride!
Line up starts at 2:30pm on Elm Street, the parade starts at 3:30pm and will be followed by the tree and menorah lighting on Main Street.

Details: Join us to celebrate the life of nonbinary, queer poet, Andrea Gibson.
We will be watching a documentary about their life and invite every one who wants to share a favorite piece or their thoughts following the screening.
Andrea Gibson was a poet, author, and activist known for their work on social justice issues, gender norms, and the LGBTQ+ experience. They were a spoken-word performer and author of several acclaimed poetry books, including Lord of the Butterflies and You Better Be Lightning. Gibson was also the first winner of the Women's World Poetry Slam and served as the Poet Laureate of Colorado from 2023 to 2025. They passed away on July 14, 2025, from ovarian cancer.
Please bring a nonexpired, nonperishable food item for local food pantries if you're able.
