VOTE Nov. 3 – Every Vote Counts!
Every vote counts in the upcoming school vote. Voters will decide on a proposal to provide essential funding to make critical infrastructure improvements to sustain our schools for many years to come. By timing this referendum with the end of existing debt and leveraging state aid, these projects can be completed with minimal tax impact.
If you’re a registered voter, be sure to cast your ballot as part of the General Election on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026.

Apply to Vote By Mail:
To request a Vote By Mail ballot, download the application. The Ocean County Clerk must receive your application by Tuesday, October 27, 2026 if you want your ballot mailed.
If you plan to obtain your ballot in person, apply by 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2026.
Return Your Ballot:
Mail your ballot so it’s postmarked by Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
Hand-deliver your ballot by dropping it in an official Ocean County drop box or delivering it to the County Board of Elections by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. Waretown’s drop box is at the Ocean County Library at 112 Main Street. Other drop box locations can be found here.
Important: Mail-in ballots cannot be submitted at polling places.

Ask for a PROVISIONAL BALLOT if you are told you can’t cast a regular ballot for any reason at the polls.
Voters occasionally show up at the polls unaware that a Vote by Mail ballot was already sent to them. That’s one of the more common reasons a voter may need to fill out a “provisional” ballot - this ensures the integrity of the election while also preserving legitimate votes. These ballots are reviewed after polls close, and paperwork can be examined more closely. Valid votes will be counted if they are not duplicates.
