Our district has diligently maintained our school buildings’ systems and structures and made short-term repairs when possible. However, patching aging infrastructure is not the most cost-effective long-term solution. Our schools are aging, and we are at the point where several major building systems are in need of replacement.
Our district worked closely with engineers and architects to conduct detailed inspections, evaluations, and analysis to prioritize the areas for improvement. The referendum has been planned to address the most necessary projects that would improve the efficiency of our buildings, and provide safer, healthier learning environments for our students and staff.
Replace roofing to reduce the risk for leaks that could lead to costly repairs
Upgrade existing emergency generator to protect the information technology equipment and enable communication in the event of a power outage
Replace classroom HVAC units that are past their life expectancy to improve temperature control and energy efficiency
Replace the aging roof-top HVAC unit to improve energy efficiency and functionality
Upgrade the multi-purpose room air-handling unit with new unit to improve energy efficiency and functionality
Update the aging boiler and chiller that are at the end of their useful life to improve energy efficiency and critical infrastructure for heating and cooling systems throughout the building

Add kitchen ventilation system to the building-management controls to improve air quality, and energy efficiency
