Dr. Bastian Tenbergen is an Associate Professor of Software Engineering at SUNY Oswego. He enjoys refurbishing old electronic equipment, raising his two young kids and has a black belt in judo.
Do you like games and puzzles just as much as you like math? Most games we play have rules that describe who gets to have a turn, what moves you’re allowed to make, and the condition for winning (or losing). These rules can often, perhaps always, be described using math, no matter if its a table-top puzzle or video game.
In this session, we will take a look at a few common games, play them, describe their rules using math, and then program them together!
