MA (Sociology) Examinations

Examination Pattern:

1. Internal Assessments:

• Components:

  • Filling the blanks:  

  • Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs): 

  • Short answer questions: questions

• Frequency: Internal assessments will be conducted twice in each semester.

• Marks: Each internal assessment will carry a total of 15 marks.

• Total Marks for Internal Assessments: 30 marks per semester (15 marks per assessment × 2 assessments).

2. End Examination:

• Components:

  • Short answer questions: 4 questions and each question carries 5 marks

  • Long answer questions: 4 questions (with internal choice and each question carried 10 Marks)

• Frequency: The end examination will be held at the end of each semester.

• Marks: The end examination will carry a total of 70 marks.

3. Weightage:

• Internal Assessments contribute 30% to the final grade.

• End Examination contributes 70% to the final grade.

This structure ensures a balanced evaluation system, combining continuous assessment through internal tests and comprehensive assessment through end exams.
