Greetings! I am Sally Cohenour, your Counselor Coordinator for 6-12th grade Independent Study students. I am a native Californian and was born and raised in Riverside, California and pursued my college degree at Azusa Pacific University near Los Angeles. After receiving my bachelor's degree in teaching I pursued a Master of Arts in Educational Counseling and in Educational Administration. I was given the amazing opportunity to start my career in Capistrano Unified School District, then in Oregon and back to San Diego, California. I have finally landed here at Surfside Academy and absolutely love the students, families and staff. My mission as your School Counselor is to be an advocate for every student by ensuring that each student has access to the counselor as a resource.
