The Hartford $50,000 Group Term Life & Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance plan is provided at no cost for all permanent 50%+ Certificated, 4+ hour Classified, and Management employees.
Employees are automatically enrolled effective the first day of the month following their date of hire.

For this option, the total face amount of your group life insurance coverage will be reduced by the amount of the Accelerated Benefit (Living Benefit Option). The effect of this option is to accelerate payment of a portion of your group life insurance proceeds.

If an employee becomes totally disabled prior to age 70, and the disability continues for six consecutive months, the district-paid Hartford group term life insurance may be continued without payment of premium.
