All About Me:
I am beginning my first year with the Ontario School District as the Behavioral Health Supervisor for grades k-12. I hold a Master's degree in Social Work with an emphasis in Mental Health Counseling and Addictions from Northwest Nazarene University. Outside of work, I love spending time with my wife, our six kids, and our two dogs. In my free time, I enjoy watching and coaching soccer, which has always been a great way for me to connect with others, build relationships and be part of a team.
In my role, I support the behavioral health and mental health wellness needs of students across the district while collaboratively with students, families, school staff, counselors, and community partners. My goal is to help create supportive, inclusive school environments where students feel safe, connected, and empowered to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. I'm excited to be part of the Ontario School District and look forward to building strong relationships with students, families, and staff while supporting the continued growth of our district's behavioral health and counseling services.
Our school counseling programs follow the American School Counselor Association’s (ASCA) model for a comprehensive approach to improve student success. We implement the ASCA Mindsets & Behaviors for Student Success as the framework for our program. School academic, attendance, and discipline data helps us further identify student needs and provides direction for additional supports.
