All RTI students are assigned a support study hall with one of the core subject teachers and Mrs. Ferry.
Along with progress monitoring, assistance with homework and studying will be given. Students will be given guidance and suggestions of ways to organize and prioritize. Students are encouraged to fill out their assignment notebooks daily.
Study hall support may come in the form of one on one assistance or in the form of small group work.
Weekly grade reports are given to students on Fridays. Grade improvements or drops are discussed with the student, along with missing work and attendance. Students earning Cs or higher in core subjects, and have fewer than 5 missing assignments are given a pass for the following week . The pass allows them special privileges and more freedom to choose how they will manage their time. This fosters self reflection, incentive, and self regulation. It becomes their choice whether they feel they need/want the extra support to maintain their grades and homework completion.
