Environmental Assessment
Environmental Assessment
Tamworth Solar Farm is a State Significant Development Project. Therefore the process of gaining development approval will follow a stringent and comprehensive set of requirements with highest level of transparency.
In the second half of 2019, a series of environmental assessments will be conducted by Oriens Energy at the site to form the basis of an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). These studies include:
- Flora and fauna
- Aboriginal cultural heritage
- Visual impact
- Noise
- Risk assessments
- Hydrology
Once these environmental assessments have been conducted and the community have been informed and consulted, a development application can be lodged.
