Community

Oriens Energy is eager to get to know the local community so everyone can be informed about our activities and engage with us along the way. Beyond providing clean, silent and reliable energy for the region a solar farm delivers great opportunities and will be a positive contributor to the local area.

From early involvement of local services for surveys and studies through to regional engineering and construction contractors that will be part of building the solar plant, over the next two years or so until completion of the project, there will be significant job opportunities for individuals and companies.

We strive to make this a project where everyone involved can feel proud of their contribution. As part of the community engagement process we will be exploring how the project can best share the benefits throughout its lifetime. There will be some permanent staff employed for the operation and maintenance of the plant as well as ongoing opportunities through services such as vegetation control, tending to the areas not used for the solar installation or road maintenance.

There will also be an onsite educational display informing visitors about the performance of the solar plant as well as offering opportunities for school excursions or trade and industry training.
