Graduate School at OSU starting Fall 2020
I am the sub-team lead of the electrical engineers. This involves communication with other teams.
This also gave me the opportunity to meet with a few graduate students and discuss our project.
We had several issues with time management and the division of tasks. This meant that for the first subscale launch, I spent 30+ hours the two days beforehand working on the electronics. After some communication, we were able to figure out better deadlines from the mechanical engineers and organize our time more effectively. I also started a Trello board to organize our tasks. Having internal deadlines also improved our collaboration.
The hunt to find the correct parts and implement the requirements correctly has taken up the larger part of this term. Here is a summary of some of the research done.
This research included research on appropriate pressure sensors to measure altitude and GPS coordinates.
