Meet the Team

Warriors at Work

This year, Hatfield is partnering with Siletz Valley High School to recruit curious, creative students who want to go above and beyond their regular academic commitments. H2O Research is open to any high school student aged 14+ with an interest in learning more about marine science and designing their own experiment.

Our first year we have 9 incredible student researchers from Siletz Valley High school!

Busy Beavers

To offer individualized support during the research process, student teams are matched with mentors from Oregon State University. This group of talented graduate students were recruited from the Marine Resource Management program and the Sponaugle-Cowen Lab. They have diverse research backgrounds but are united by their passion to help inspire the next generation of marine scientists!
