This is my thirteenth year teaching in the Oregon School District and I couldn't be more excited!! This year I will be teaching math 6, math 7, and science. I am originally from Minnesota, where I graduated from St. Cloud State University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary/Middle Education and a minor in Mathematics. I live in McFarland with my husband, daughter, and dog Maci, where I enjoy baking and cooking, sewing and quilting, as well as gardening and canning. I love to travel, go hiking, biking, being outdoors, and spending time with my family and friends.
I have been teaching 5th or 6th graders for more than 30 years - Wow! The time flies when you are having fun as they say! I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology from UW-Eau Claire and worked in a science lab for a few years before going back to school for a teaching degree from UW-Madison. I love working in education and teaching students at this grade level. I live in Verona with my dog, Harvey, and am blessed to have two grown sons who live close by in Madison. I enjoy hiking, refinishing old furniture, playing board games, reading, and cheering on our fabulous Wisconsin sports teams (Bucks, Packers, Badgers, Brewers). We are going to have such an amazing year in 6th grade!!
