Too Justin Duddie. I was with you when you first got you car and your interest had already been growing. You had worked on alot of other cars of all different kinds but i had never see it, and i didn't know how much knowledge you had. During the time i sat next to you while you worked nonstop i started to understand. I started to see why people have such a passion for cars and why they car so much. As you built this Volvo up piece by piece, i tried as hard as i could to listen. You are a great teacher and you turned me from being able to tighten a bolt, to being able to pull my hole engine in 2 days.
The knowledge you shared with me is something that would've taken me years to learn. People say you cant learn from other people mistakes but i don't believe that. I learned patience and the willingness to keep going to matter what just from watching you work.
I watched as a Volvo 240 turned you onto a Volvo garage that specializes in manufacturing of custom parts. This Volvo changed your life and i saw that. I saw the joy and obsession take over for this car and more than anything i wanted that too.
My favorite example was this past winter. The 240 transmission started to slip. It was almost done but you drove that car as sketchy as it was all the way to Connecticut and BACK to get a new transmission, all the way until you pulled in the driveway and the transmission gave-way completely. That night in almost a foot of snow you stayed up alone and swapped the transmission so you could wake up and make it all the way to work in the morning. And no worries you got it done. I've never seen that kind of commitment before for something that at the time was just a hobby.
After you proved to yourself that if you have a welder you can do anything you turned that hobby into a career. You now run your own manufacturing business that specializes in Volvos.
I really appreciate the help you gave me and i thank you for the knowledge i gained
