In this assignment we were placed into groups and were given a spefic rhetorical analysis to focus our project on. We compared and elimanated any we felt didnt go along the lines of pathos. We has a slide for each quotes and total of 8 quotes where took bullet points and explained our reasoning for choosing the quotes and giving a worldly perscpective to really show the appeal to pathos.

Our literacy narrative was based on our memory maps and this spefic memory of my teacher Ms. Grant was very prominent because it was so tramatic and still haunts me. Looking back it is always a funny and great story to tell people and made a good story for my literacy narrative. I personally didnt want to do anything that was so serious or to personal so this story was my middle ground. I have happy and pleased with my grade and i would do it again if i had any more funny and embrassing stories to share.
After writing my literacy narrative i had to do a self relfection on my writting and was asked the following questions and tasks , " Reflect on the process of creating your "literacy memory map," and write a paragraph describing what the process taught you about your current attitudes toward reading, writing, learning, school, etc...., What did the process of writing your literacy narrative teach you about yourself?, What did the process of writing your literacy narrative teach you about carefully crafting your writing style to achieve your rhetorical purpose?, How did you feel about sharing your narrative in the authors circle? Explain., Would you recommend this assignment to future classes? Why or why not?. This question were able to help me self evluate my writing and the steps i took to get to my finished product and question things i did and if i would do them different for a better or worse outcome.

The song i choose for this assignment is one that i have known for i while. I first listened to the song around quartine and the message was clear in the song the first time you heard it so when we were given this assignment to choose a song based on what we did for "Only a pawn" i knew this song was great because of the meaning behind it. Having to find the rhetorical analysis was a deeper way to understand the song on a deeper level because there were definetly some words and phrases that went over my head when i first listened. By finding the rhetorical analysis i was able to understand the pharses and see why the were added to the song.
For this independent reading assignment i was asked to focus on underreported stories curated by the Pulitzer Education Center and their “Fighting Words” contest. I picked 3 stories that i felt were most interesting to read and i would be able to write about. My first entry was " The long shadow of COVID - 19 myths", "Uncertainty on Renewable Retraining Frightens South Africa's Coal Communities", and "How I got arrested trying to save the planet".

In this assignment i was asked to give my response to the claim "America's origin story really begins in 1619 and not 1176 based on the information given in the book “the 1619 project”". I did not fully agree and fully disagree so i choose to challenge the claim and give my reasoning to do so. I felt that i really took the time to understand the claim because it specifcally say in the 1619 project and from using the important i knew from reading i knew that the claim wasnt really stated specifcally to the circumstances to what was written. I believe my argument is sound and gives a realistic point of view as to why it was challanged.
