In reading, 3rd graders will delve into Poppy by Avi.   This animal fantasy book is sure to delight our readers with its fun and engaging plot. 

In third grade math,  students will participate in projects aligned with what they are learning in class, specifically multiplication. We will learn the value of perseverance when solving a problem and that some math takes deep thinking and teamwork! 

In reading, fourth graders will venture into a Thai-inspired fantasy world as we read The Last Mapmaker by Christina Soontornvat. Students will also join in on one chaotic summer our main character navigates in the realistic fiction Ferris by Kate DiCamillo.

In fourth grade math,  students will participate in projects aligned with what they are learning in class, specifically place value that extends into the millions. We will discover how math has connections in all subject areas and pull from skills that go beyond computation of math problems. 

In reading, fifth graders will be contemplating humans ecological impact as they read the realistic fiction novel, Hoot by Carl Hiaasen. Students will also join our main character as they unravel the truth to prove their innocence in the historical mystery of Dovey Coe by Frances O'Roark Dowell. 

In 5th grade math,  students will participate in projects aligned with what they are learning in class, specifically place value that extends into the millions and thousandths place. We will explore how math has connections in all subject areas and pull from skills that go beyond computation of math problems.
