Hello, Oak Hills Community!

My name is Ashley and I am thrilled to be a part of the very same school community that helped shape me. After graduating from high school in Oak Park, I earned a BA in Liberal Arts and a Masters Degree in the Art of Teaching with a Specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis. I have previously worked as a Site Director for a YMCA childcare program and as a Behavior Therapist. Hi all!

My name is Bryce Phillips. It is a privilege to continue to work the the Oak Park community. I am a local to the Conejo Valley, growing up in Newbury Park. I graduated with a BA in Liberal Arts from Cal State Northridge. For the last twelve years I had worked part time for Conejo Recreation and Parks District helping develop our youth. During that time, I helped plan and operate an after-school mentoring and tutoring program for at-risk elementary students in partnership with the Thousand Oaks Police Department.

My name is Amy Ballen. I live in Thousand Oaks with my husband Ron and daughter Zoe, who is a Senior at Thousand Oaks High School (soon to be attending Cal State San Marcos and play softball). My oldest daughter is at Chapman University in Orange, CA. My 3rd child is my dog Lillian, a rescue from Thailand. I attended Westlake High School and studied Graphic Communication at Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo. I have worked in both Conejo Unified and Oak Park School Districts. CONTINUED...

Hello, my name is Emily and I am a college student studying psychology. My goal is to work in a school with children. I am very grateful for this opportunity to learn from and spend time with the children at Club Oak Park. I hope to be a positive influence on all of the students here.

I have been working in child care for five year now, and two of those years I have been at Oak Hills Elementary School. I currently attend Moorpark College and I am majoring in Business. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, photography, cars, and video games. I really enjoy my work and I try my best to make sure that everyone is having as much fun as possible.

As one of the newest members of Club Oak Park, I have really enjoyed working and spending time with all of the children at the club. My favorite part of the day is doing art work and tutoring the children. I have two children of my own and currently live in Thousand Oaks. I am also a yoga teacher and have hopes of teaching the children during enrichment about yoga and all the different poses. My goal is to make a difference in your child’s life.

Hello my name is Eric and I am a student at Ventura college majoring in sociology. I have tree years experience working with kids in after school care as well as summer and sleep away camps. My main goal for this school year has been to create meaningful bonds with the students.

I love being around the kids at Club Oak Park because of their energy, honesty, and playfulness. They keep me young at heart!

I had the privilege of being the room mother during my daughter's elementary school years. I helped organize events, class projects, encouraged parental participation and got to chaperone many field trips. I also volunteered in the art docent program.

Hello, I'm Faith Wayne.

My husband Douglas and I have been residents of Oak Park for 17 years . We raised our two children in this wonderful community and could not have been happier with the Oak Park Schools ! For the past four years I have worked for OPUSD as a Special Education Instructional Assistant in our preschool.

Hello my name is Ana and I am the mother of three wonderful children & a cute maltipoo puppy named Mr. Mercury. My family and I recently moved to Oak Park from Orlando, Florida. I like music, dancing and going to the beach, but not in the water, a bit too cold here. I’ve always found children to be like an harmonic joyful sound in the air and therefore truly enjoy being around them, so I’m excited to join & be part of Club Oak Park.

I am a student who is studying child development. I’ve always had a love for children and was excited to come abroad to a fun and caring team!

I am twenty-two years old and graduated CSUN with a Bachelors in Psychology. I currently have five years of experience in child care and have enjoyed every moment. In my free time I enjoy archery, playing video games, practicing soccer, and playing bass guitar.

Hi, I'm Tawny! I am currently a student at Cal Lutheran majoring in biology with a minor in women's studies. Club Oak Park and Oak Hills Elementary are such positive, welcoming environments, and I am so grateful to be a part of them! As a mentor, I hope to uphold a safe, educational, and fun academic experience for your children. I have a background in classical and jazz music and guitar playing, and in my free time I enjoy going on hikes or taking naps.

Hello! I am currently attending Ventura College with a major in Child Development while I also work at Club Oak Park with the children of Red Oak. In my free time I enjoy the outdoors and exploring.

Hi! My name is Alexa! I'm so excited to be working with Club Oak Park! I love making art and hiking with my dog. I can't wait to create lots of arts and crafts with all of the students. In Fall, 2020, I will begin my graduate studies as an Art Therapist.

I am a senior at Oak Park High School and I mostly spend my summers volunteering at the Thousand Oaks Library. I'm happy to be a part of the Club Oak Park team because I love working with the kids and helping them develop important skills. Please don't hesitate to talk to me or ask me something.
