Summer Gap Program

2020

Cancelled due to COVID-19 Pandemic

UPDATE AUGUST 5, 2020:

The Club Oak Park childcare program will not be opening at this time. Once circumstances allow, we will provide information to the families of OPUSD. Thank you for your patience as the details surrounding COVID-19 and the reopening of school campuses continue to change. We wish all families the very best during these challenging times.

UPDATE APRIL, 2020:

Registration typically takes place each spring for the coming school year. However, given the evolving circumstances surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, we have temporarily postponed the registration window for the 2020-2021 school year.

We are committed to providing our families with a high quality program in 2020-2021 and encourage you to please check back for updates!

April, 2020

Dear OPUSD Parents:

We imagine that you, like all of us here in OPUSD, are beginning to think ahead to the new school year. Though nobody knows exactly what the coming months will bring, we are all eager to return closer to the “normal” that we once knew.

As you know, the circumstances surrounding the coronavirus pandemic continue to evolve. Just as definitive decisions have yet to be made regarding the re-opening of businesses and schools, we are not yet able to determine a definitive plan and structure for Club Oak Park for the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year. With the coronavirus pandemic and social distancing guidelines in mind, it will be no surprise to you that Club Oak Park will likely need to look different.

For this reason, we have temporarily postponed the registration window for Club Oak Park. Under more typical circumstances, many of you would have already submitted your registration requests for the coming school year.

Despite this necessary delay, we can assure you that Club Oak Park and the Oak Park Unified School District are committed to you and your child care needs. We are here for you and will continue to be here when it is time to return to school. Our intent is to provide a program in 2020-2021 that meets the needs of OPUSD families while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

With this ongoing commitment to ensure the safety of students and staff, we will actively work throughout the coming weeks and months, as new information becomes available, to develop plans for our program. You will be updated as decisions are made so that you have the opportunity to register your children for our program.

We continue to keep you and your families in our thoughts during our program closure and we hope you are safe and well!

As always, please do not hesitate to call or email the Club Oak Park office with any questions or concerns you might have.

Stay well,

Sara Ahl
