Welcome 6th grade family! As a fellow parent, I know that "doing" school, parenting, and working is hard! Here are some resources and information to make your life easier. If you don't see something you need, please let me know at vheller@opusd.org, and I will try to find it for you!
THE NEED TO READ
Students must read independently 20-30 minutes daily as part of their homework...but how?
Students may borrow books from our school and classroom library. They may also borrow e-books and audiobooks from local public libraries. The resources below require a library card, which is free for all residents.
For those with OPUSD Chromebooks, the following apps can be added to your device. These apps can be used to borrow e-books and audiobooks from the LA and VC library systems.

AFTER trying to solve the tech problem by yourself and then with the help of a peer or parent or teacher, please complete a Tech Ticket at this link.
