Reasons to keep your child home from school.
School nurses play a vital role in promoting student health, well-being, and academic success. School nurses are key in managing health concerns that directly impact attendance, performance, and overall educational outcomes. By implementing the National Association of School Nurses (NASN) 21st Century Framework, school nurses work to help create a safer and healthier school environment, which in turn positively impacts student attendance, engagement, and achievement.
As the district nurse, Allie oversees health services across seven campuses and trains staff at each site to provide the necessary care to meet students' individualized health needs.
