The mission of Career and Technical Education (CTE) in Indiana is to ensure an education system of high quality and equity for the academic achievement and career preparation of all Indiana students. Students in Indiana’s secondary CTE programs will gain the knowledge, skills and abilities needed for success in postsecondary education and economically viable career opportunities.

A new ABC Prep Academy is opening in Lebanon, Indiana. If you are going to be a junior next year or even senior this may be a great opportunity to learn different skills in a hands-on environment with construction. Furthermore, this program can help students reach their diploma with CTE pathway classes. The academy specializes in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical. This class meets daily, in person, for at least 3 hours each day.
Next year they will be offering Pharmacy Tech along with Medical Assistant (CCMA) certifications to all 11th and 12th grade students at all campuses. These classes are virtual (via scheduled Zooms) with eventual in-person rotations. This is a great opportunity that can help jump start a student's life. On top of this it counts as a student's graduation pathway with 6 credits earned.

The Vet tech program will prepare students to work in a veteranary clinic, under the direct supervision of a licesnsed veterinarian. Students will practice technical skills necessary to provide emergency first aid to animals, give medications and do routine lab tests.

Our Career and Technical Education Dental Program is for any High School student in the surrounding area. The diverse field of dental careers comprises various professions, such as dental assistants, dental hygienists, and dental laboratory technicians, collaborating as a team to deliver exceptional value and service to their clients. Dental assistants play a vital role in ensuring top-notch patient care by undertaking a range of responsibilities spanning office, laboratory, and patient care duties. This involves actively assisting dentists in managing patients, instruments, and supplies during treatments focused on teeth, mouth, and gum care.

Our Career and Technical Education Pharmacy Program is for any High School student in the surrounding area. Working hand-in-hand with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians play a crucial role in ensuring patient health and safety. Their responsibilities include locating, dispensing, packing, and labeling prescribed medications, provided to the patient. The specific duties of a pharmacy technician can vary based on whether they work in an in-patient or retail pharmacy setting.
