A 6th grade auditioned group directed by Mrs. Strohmeier that will rehearse after school on Wednesdays, and will perform at Darien Lake Music Festival Competition in the Spring. Auditions will be held in November and rehearsals will begin in December!

A 7th and 8th grade auditioned group directed by Mr. Carson that will rehearse after school on Wednesdays, and will perform at Darien Lake Music Festival Competition in the Spring. Auditions will be held in November and rehearsals will begin in December!

OTHER MUSIC OPPORTUNITIES:

Musical

Online audition forms will be available the first week of September and auditions will be the second week of school. The production will be held on November 21, 22, 23. There will be opportunities for both on and off stage involvement. Be sure to listen for announcements in chorus class and on MSTV for more information!

Area All-State

8th Graders only!

If you went to the NYSSMA Solo Festival last year and would like to apply for Area All-State, Mrs. Kelleran and Mr. Carson will be bring around applications for you to sign!

The 2024 festival dates are November 1st and 2nd.

6th Graders - Festival takes place March 1, 12, 14, 15 (concert)

7th/8th Graders - Festival takes place March 7th & 8th (concert)

solo nyssma

Look for interest forms at the end of March. Solo festival rehearsals with Mr. Carson, Mrs. Strohmeier and Mrs. Kelleran will begin in April and the solo festival will take place beginning of June. More info to come in 2024!
