French Club welcomes ALL 6th, 7th, & 8th graders including students that study Spanish or Latin!! Students do not have to attend every meeting.  They can pick and choose the meeting that they can or wish to attend.  French Club is a fun and friendly environment where we explore French Culture through food, games, and crafts.  

Here are the meeting dates and activities:

Thursday, October 10th Learn about French Club and play Bingo for prizes!

Tuesday, November 5th Build an Eiffel Tower using food (Competition for the                                                                    best Eiffel Tower) - then we eat the Eiffel Towers!

Tuesday, December 10th St. Nicholas Day - Make a shoe for St. Nicholas - The                                                                   shoes are then left out for St. Nicholas to fill with gifts.                                                                   We will also enjoy eating Bûche de Noël cake!

Thursday, January 16th Celebrate 3 Kings Day.  We will eat a 3 Kings Day cake                                                                  Inside the cake is a trinket.  Who will get the trinket in                                                                 their piece of cake and be the King or Queen? 

Thursday, February 27th Mardi Gras Masks - Get ready for Mardi Gras by                                                                                 making a fun mask.

Wednesday, March 19th Poisson d'Avril (April Fools day in France) - Learn about                                                                  how the French celebrate April Fools Day and make a                                                                     fish to prank someone!

Thursday, April 10th Petanque Tournament - Play the popular French game!

Wednesday, May 14th End of the year party!  Chocolate croissants and                                                                                 games!
