Keynote Day 2

Keynote - Panel Discussion for Implementing State Assessments

Moderator:

Ashley McGrath

Panelists:

School districts are facing new challenges and opportunities as they navigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Moderator will lead a panel represented by five districts across the state of Montana [Alder-Upper Ruby Elementary, Helena Public Schools, Whitefish Public Schools, Billings Public Schools, and Great Falls Public Schools]. In this keynote, System Test Coordinators (STC) will share how they locally address the needs for planning, training, student access, equity, and data literacy in general, but also in particular, during COVID. With the highly variable instructional models and learning experiences, panelists will share how they navigate these issues and share best practices for supporting all learners. Measuring student learning, identifying potential opportunity gaps, and prioritizing resources is a critical need during this COVID-19 crisis. This forum will help all STCs plan for improvements to best meet the needs of students and make informed decisions about educational quality and equity within their school system. Attendees are encouraged to send in questions throughout the webinar.
