Move to the next level: bring your newly refined skills to upgrade democracy right in your town! Pick some activities and Do Democracy!

Read about Rock the Vote's Democracy Class: a free, nonpartisan curriculum that educates high school students about the importance and history of voting and pre-registers and registers them to vote.
Partner with a local high school educator to teach a one-period lesson (or add additional modules to teach young people about modern-day voting rights, the importance of local elections, and how their vote can impact issues that affect their communities.)
Find out what classes your local government offers (ex: Government 101) and take it! If they don't offer one, figure out who to pressure!
Learn about your state laws for time off to vote.
Check in with your employer- are they following these laws? Advertising the options? Become an advocate.
Find out if your state has early voting.
If they don't, find the local group working on expanding voting.
