K-8 i-Ready is an online educational program designed to support student learning in mathematics and reading. Schools use it to provide personalized instruction based on individual student needs. Parents will receive a report of their student's performance after each testing cycle. Here's an overview of its key components:
Diagnostic Assessments: i-Ready includes diagnostic assessments that help identify a student’s strengths and areas of growth in reading and mathematics. These assessments are adaptive, meaning the difficulty of the questions changes based on how the student is performing.
Personalized Learning Paths: Based on the diagnostic results, i-Ready creates personalized learning paths for each student. These paths provide tailored lessons that target specific skills the student needs to improve upon, helping to close learning gaps and enhance overall proficiency.
Engaging Lessons: i-Ready offers interactive, engaging lessons that students can complete online. These lessons are designed to be engaging and are often gamified to keep students motivated.
Progress Monitoring: i-Ready allows teachers to track students' progress over time. This data can help educators adjust instruction to better meet individual students' needs and ensure they are making progress toward grade-level expectations.
Teacher Support: Teachers can use i-Ready to supplement their instruction, assign specific lessons, and track how well students are grasping key concepts. The program provides insights into student performance, helping to inform instructional decisions.
The ACT is a national college admissions examination that consists of subject area tests in English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science. ACT results are accepted by all four-year colleges and universities in the US. The ACT is administered on seven test dates within the US, US territories, and Puerto Rico. Parents will be informed of their child's scores through reports provided by ACT, which will be communicated home by the school. All high school juniors are required to take the ACT.
TNReady is a part of the Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program (TCAP) and is designed to assess true student understanding, not just basic memorization and test-taking skills. It is a way to assess what our students know and what we can do to help them succeed in the future. TN Ready is administered to grades 2-12 in the Spring and grades 9-12 in the Fall. TN Ready is an achievement test mandated by the State of Tennessee for grades 2-8 and is administered near the end of the school year in April-May. The purpose of the assessment is to measure student achievement and progress. Results will be communicated with students and parents as they become available from the state - typically over the summer following testing. TN Ready EOC assessments are given in certain subjects in grades 9-12 at the end of each semester. The purpose of these assessments is to measure student achievement and progress. Students and parents will receive score reports when they are made available from the state - typically a few weeks after the testing cycle.
