Basic Journalism

This seminar-workshop offers skills training in key journalism techniques including campus paper production and news design, news, feature, editorial, sports and science writing, and desktop publishing. It also aims to scout students for the school publication and prepare them for journalism competitions.

Academic Enrichment Program

The Academic Enrichment Program consists of enrichment lessons and activities designed to build the academic self-esteem, motivation, and self-efficacy of participants to enable them to achieve academically in specific subjects like Math, Science, and Reading.

Summer Art Workshop

The workshop gives participants further opportunity to enhance their talent in drawing and painting. They will be working with acrylic paints and craypas. It will be given by the school’s in-house artists. A gallery will be mounted after the workshop to exhibit the output of these budding artists.

Dance Workshop

This workshop is a gateway for the students to learn, develop, and appreciate other cultures, genres, and physical discipline through their own interpretation. Students are also encouraged to learn dance in order to build up their own self confidence and overcome their inhibitions.

Cooking Workshop (“Cultivating Foodie Kids”)

This workshop will teach the students about the food groups and the importance of making healthy food choices in order to instill healthy eating habits and to build strong, independent children. Students will be introduced with the basic cooking techniques which will also teach them about how to stay safe in the kitchen.

Digital Imaging and Adobe Photoshop CC: Beginner and Intermediate

This short course aims to provide the learners with the basic principles in Digital Imaging and the necessary skills in editing images using Adobe Photoshop CC. After the course, the learner can work as a photo editor, graphic designer, web designer, print layout artist, illustrator or Adobe Photoshop instructor.

This short course aims to provide the learners with the basic skills in audio-video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro CC. This course offers the learner employment as a videographer, an post-production editor, film-maker, and an Adobe Premiere Pro instructor.

This short course aims to provide the learners with the basic skills preparing 2D and 3D drawings in AutoCAD. Programming Essentials in C++

Practical Applications of Critical Discourse Analysis in the 21st Century

The course is intended to introduce the method of Critical Discourse Analysis to students, in light of expanding the notion of a text. After presenting the possibilities of what can be “read” using Critical Discourse Analysis, students will engage with careful applications of the method to 21st century situations.

Layon ng kursong ito na ipakilala ang metodong Critical Discourse Analysis sa mga mag-aaral, upang mapalawak ang kanilang pag-unawa sa kung ano ang maaring maging teksto.
