Don Bosco Technical College-Basic Education Department in Mandaluyong City is a Salesian Catholic institution which opened in 1953, and has since then been a center of quality and holistic education. Guided by the pedagogy of St. John Bosco, Don Bosco-Mandaluyong envisions the young to be life-long learners and individuals equipped with 21st century skills.

The College Department opened in 1966 with 33 first year students who began their two-year associate diploma in electrical or mechanical technology. Government recognition for the complete five-year Mechanical Engineering (ME) and Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) degrees was obtained in 1973, hence the change of the name from Don Bosco Technical Institute to Don Bosco Technical College. Since then, the college department has achieved top-of- the-category and above-national-average performances in the board exams. In 2020, it aims to change its status to Don Bosco University.

The TVET Center was established in 1971 primarily to assist the youth of various communities by offering technical vocational training in order to equip them with the skills requirement of the industry. In line with the mission of Don Bosco, the students undergo an intensive values formation program to form them into responsible members of their communities.

Aircraft Maintenance Technology is a 2-year technician program within the DBTC campus, plus a 3-month Supervised In-Plant Training (SIPT) in reputable companies and industrial workplaces. Students are taught to have mastery over reciprocating machines and familiarity in jet engine operations. The program fosters love for craftsmanship, commitment to quality, and passion for safety. In the end, graduates of this program are specialized technicians in both Airframe and Powerplant, and are qualified to continue towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering and in related fields.
