Ultimately, those who wish to continue teaching Computer Science course (beyond a SOCE) will need to attain a CS Teaching Certificate.
As of this update (Jan 2023), NYSED does not yet have a CS content specialty test (see here). In addition "Candidates will be manually exempted from this requirement until the CST is available.

The new Computer Science Certification "has the lowest requirements for any additional certification available by the Office of Teacher Certification - 12 credits."
