The Bits and Bots curriculum is designed for K-6 instruction to meet the needs of districts in meeting the New York State Computer Science and Digital Fluency Learning Standards.
The Bits and Bots curriculum covers 4 of the 5 key concept areas; Impacts of Computing, Computational Thinking, Cybersecurity and Networks and Systems Design. Currently we are looking at ways to meet the final key concept area of Digital Literacy.

Artifacts from the state-funded Smart Start Grant program, free for other NYS districts to freely use, copy, adapt, and implement similar programs.
This grant has 17 awardees that will fund the training of over 7,000 teachers in more than 500 schools over the course of the grant. The grant period is anticipated to be five years, beginning April 1, 2021 through March 31, 2026
